After gracing the earth with her presence for 99 years, Autie Searcy McCallum went home to meet her Lord and Savior on Monday, November 20, 2019. At the time of her passing, she was residing at Oakwood – North Baldwin’s Center for Living in Bay Minette, Alabama.
She was born in Bristol, Florida on August 27, 1920. Her parents were the late James Washington Searcy and the late Ola Mae Frances Morrell.
Her working years were spent in various departments with the State of Florida. She grew up attending the First Church of the Nazarene, and later was a member at Parkway Baptist Church for 35 years.
Preceding her in death in addition to her parents are her husband of almost 63 years, Emory Fulton McCallum; and siblings, Lloyd Searcy, Hughie Searcy, Novie Casey, Nolie Herrin, Tessie McCallum, Essie Jenkins and Tillie Daniel Colson.
She is survived by one loving sister, Margaret Hammel, of Thomasville, Georgia; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
