He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Maryann Hackney, four daughters: Takesa Mason of Siler City, NC, Jane-Mae Mangum of Garner, NC, Ashley Mangum of Apex, NC, and Wysett Mangum of Fuquay Varina, NC,a stepson Michael Harrington,a stepdaughter Courtney Griffin, mother Carrie Hackney of Moncure, NC, two sisters, Lavern (Stanley) Burnette of Moncure, NC, Gloria (Brian) Rodgers of Pittsboro, NC; three brothers, Raiford Smith, Clarence Hackney Jr. and Kenneth Hackney all of Siler City, NC, six grandchildren, and a grandchild on the way, four aunts; Lola Partridge, Linda Smith, Helen (Hubert) Matthews and Cherry Hackney all of Moncure, NC, five uncles; James Hackney (Faye), Carl Hackney, William Smith, George Smith all of Moncure, NC, a special uncle, Robert (Emma) Smith of Moncure, NC ; a sister-in-law Delaine Seymour and a host of nieces, nephews,family and friends.
