W. Lester Peacock, 85, of Tallahassee, Florida, passed away on Saturday, September 25, 2021, at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare. Born in Sneads, Florida on October 10, 1935, he was a son of Andrew Jackson Peacock and Grace Howell Peacock, of blessed memory.
He is also preceded in death by his siblings, Howell, Jeannette, Larry, Lonnie and Gloria. Survivors include his children, Wendell Peacock (wife, Janet) and Cheryl Peacock Kane (husband, David); grandchildren, Megan Snooks (husband, David), Andrew Peacock (wife, Madeline), Justin Ralston and Diane Kane; great-grandson, Cohen Newman; brother, Bobby Peacock (wife, Glenda); sister, Janice Graves; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He faithfully served in the United States Navy and later retired after 30 plus years of service with the United States Postal Service as a letter carrier. In his spare time, he was an avid hunter and fisher, enjoyed fishing in the Ochlockonee River. He was also a long time member at Branch Street Church of God.
