Vaughn Flanagan age 81 of Dalton, passed away on Thursday morning, July 25, 2013 at Quinton Memorial Healthcare. Born on April 25, 1932, in Gainesville, GA, he was the son of the late Andrew and Pauline Flanagan. Vaughn was of the Baptist faith. He was a professional truck driver which he took great pride in. He drove for Jordan Truck Line for 25 years. He had a great love for the trucking industry. Survivors include his wife of 41 years Faye Flanagan of Dalton; sons and daughters-in-law, Ronnie and DeAnna Flanagan of Southside, AL and Donnie and Marilyn Flanagan of Dalton; daughters and sons-in-law, Connie and Wayne Broome of Gainesville, GA and Bonnie and Wayne Etris of Gainesville, GA; Brothers and sisters-in-law, Joe and Evelyn Flanagan of Gainesville, GA and Hayward and Dolly Flanagan of Gainesville, GA; sisters and brother-in-law, Dorene and Leon Pilgrim of Cornelia, GA; sisters, Doris Freeman of Gainesville, GA, Imagene Williamson of Gainesville, GA and Wanda Shubert of Clermont, GA; several grandchildren and several great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Clifford and Ray Flanagan; sister, Winnie Haynes.
