Mr. Thomas E. Russell, 88 of Milford, beloved husband of Edna Brehm Russell, passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2010 at CT Hospice in Branford. Born on June 6, 1922 in Bridgeport, CT, he was the son of the late George E. and M. Vernal Wood Russell. Tom served with pride and honor in the US Army during WWII. He was a systems analyst for the former Winchester in New Haven and Nordens Systems in Norwalk where he retired from.
Tom was a former member of the Board of Finance in Milford and the Milford Lawns Civic Assoc. He was and enthusiastic volunteer with the Milford Cub Scouts and the Little League. Tom was a past president of the Heatherstone Assoc and took part in the Norden Retirees club and the American Legion.
In addition to his wife, Tom is survived by his children, Sharon DeAndrus and husband Ronald of North Haven, Debra Callahan and her husband Jack of Woods Hole, MA. , Wendy Buser and husband Steven of Barnard, VT, Thomas Russell and his wife Elizabeth of Richmond, VT and Robin Russell Ouellette of Bristol, CT., twelve grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother George D. Russell and a sister Mary Bailey.
