Tariq Nassir Al-Kassar, 84, of Tallahassee, passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2019, at Seven Hills Health and Rehab Center.
He was born in Baghdad, Iraq on July 1, 1935, to the late Nassir Hussein Al-Kassar and the late Am’sha Al-Kassar.
For many years he was a law professor at the University of Baghdad. After moving to Tallahassee, he became a volunteer at the Leon County Public Library and enjoyed gardening, reading and watching movies.
He is survived by his daughters, Laura Al-Kassar and Somer Al-Kassar; brother, Wael Al-Kassarl; and sister, Sahera Al-Kassar; as well as many friends that he made throughout his life.
