Simon Holmes, Jr was born on August 29, 1941. Simon is the son of the late Simon Holmes Sr and Essie Mae Lawton.
He graduated from Wayne County Training School. He worked in pulp wood for many years prior to working and retiring from CSXT-WAYCROSS, GA as a LOCOMOTIVE OPERATOR.
Simon was preceded in death by his parents, Simon Holmes Sr and Essie Mae Lawton,
daughter (Marilyn Walker), sister (Sivilla Sims), brothers (Pete Lawton and Buck Lawton).
He leaves to cherish his memories a loving wife and mother, Remincie L. Holmes; children Joseph Simmons, Jr.
