Mr. Sandy Joel Hooper, age 67 of 1470 Farrell Road, Sanford, N.C. passed on Friday, July 30, 2010 at Central Carolina Hospital, Sanford, N.C.
Sandy was the fifth child born to the late Daniel Junior and Carrie Hooper on May 20, 1943.
He was united with St. Luke United Holiness Church at an early age.
Sandy was the sales manager of WXKL Radio Station here in Sanford for over six years.
No wake is scheduled.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel Junior and Carrie Hooper, step son, George Saunders, sister, Geraldine Cherry and brother, Fred L. Hooper.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Elder Cathleen B. Hooper; step sons, Dennis E. Saunders, Darrell E. Saunders, Douglas Saunders, Daniel Saunders, Donald Saunders, Gerald F. Saunders; one step daughter, Della Reese Dixon (Kenneth); two sisters, Therelene McNaire and Magaline Clegg (Joseph) and two brothers, Samuel Hooper (Mildred) and Lonnie Hooper; one aunt, Mary Lee Copland; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
