After an extended illness, Samuel Lee Williams, 61, of Tallahassee, passed away Thursday, November 24, 2016.

A son of the late James F. and Madeline Prendergast Williams, he was born April 16, 1955, in Montgomery, Alabama. He served his country in the US Air Force from 1978 until 1981. He received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Florida State University, and later retired from the State of Florida, Department of Corrections Human Resources Office. He enjoyed travelling, visiting Las Vegas and Reno, gambling, watching TV with his daughter, writing, Jazz music, history, philosophy, but most importantly, he was a true family man.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia Ritchie Williams, daughter, Roxann Williams Mouratidis, (husband, Thiseas); granddaughter, Apollonia Mouratidis; and his siblings, Susan Corry, James F. Williams, Thomas A. Williams; a niece, Erin Corry; and other extended family members.
