Mr. Samuel “Sam” L. Hawkins passed away on Wednesday July 20, 2022.
Samuel “Sam” was born in Philadelphia on April 17, 1949, to the late Jeremy Hawkins and Annie Laura Dell. He came to Tampa, Florida in the fifty’s where he resided and attended public schools in the bay area.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; stepfather, Leroy Dell; brothers, Oscar Dell, and Kenny Ray Dell; father-in-Law, James Wilson Sr.; brother-in-law, James Wilson Jr.; and sister-in-law, Dorothy Hall.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife of 48 years, Helena Hawkins; brothers, Joseph Dell (Dora) of Gainesville, FL, Gerald Harrell, David Dell (Patricia), Willie Dell, and Robert Dell (Annie) of Tampa, FL; sisters, Josephine Dell-Green, Sarah Dell and Lee Ann Dell of Tampa, FL; mother-in- law, Sadie Wilson of Tampa, FL; brothers-in law, Johnny Wilson (Villa) of Dallas, TX, Michael Wilson (Tasha), and William Hall of Tampa, FL; sisters-in-law, Ann Johnson (Jerome) of Illinois, and Rosa Bruce of Tampa, FL; nephews and nieces, Tonya Lee, Shavonda Lee, Patricia Clark, Kimberly Williams-Jenerette, Latoya West, Willie Dell Jr, Marquis Dell, Day son Dell, Oscar Howard, Jonathan Dell, Robert Dell III, Jerome Johnson Jr. (Chavon), Anthony Johnson (Ebony), Marcus Hall, Mario Hall, Danario Smith, Mikayla Wilson, Johnny, Johnika Wilson, and Jeremiah Wilson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
