Mr. Ronald J. Walkowsky of Milford, beloved husband of Louise Payne Walkowsky for 36 wonderful years, passed away on Friday, May 14, 2010 at home. Born on September 16 in Bridgeport, he was the son of Colleen Marlin of Beacon Falls and was raised by his loving adoptive parents the late Walter and Cecilia Turek Walkowsky. Ron was a graduate of Milford High School and received certification in welding from Platt tech in Milford.
Ron was a laser welder for Dresser Industries in Stratford for 30 plus years. He was an honorary retired member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters local 145. Ron loved his yard and gardening and was especially fond of his corvette. He loved to travel and was a gym enthusiast who enjoyed working out regularly.
In addition to his wife, Ron is survived by his cherished daughters, Jennifer Walkowsky of Ansonia and Petra Richards and her husband Rodney of Gibbstown, NJ, two loving granddaughters, Marin Kate and Sydnee Grace Cunningham who adored their “Papa” Also his sisters, Debbie Catandella and her husband Steve of Florida, Donna Feeney of Beacon Falls, Denise Parrella-Mackenzie of Simsbury, Donna Stabile and her husband Frank of Florida and his brother Barry Parrella and his wife Joann of Fairfield. Ron is also survived by his mother-in-law, Mary Payne of Milford, brother-in-law James Payne of Middletown and his Uncle Louie Payne of Milford and several nieces and nephews.
