Ronald Evan Gordon, 65, of Quincy, passed away on Thursday, November 29, 2018, at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare. A son of the late Rayford Jackson Gordon and the late Bessie Lee Wilson Underwood, he was born in Tampa, Florida on October 5, 1953. He is also preceded in death by his stepfather, John Underwood. After serving his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War as an Air Traffic Controller, he worked for the Florida Lottery, was head of security at Cheval Polo Golf Club in Tampa and retired from the State of Florida, Agency for State Technology as a Computer Management Analyst. He also taught Baptist Sunday School on a Seminole Indian Reservation near Miami, Florida. He loved the outdoors, fishing, camping and was known by many as a survivalist. He had a deep love for his family, especially his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Mary Ann Gordon; children, Dorothy Gordon Somerset (Derek Somerset), Michael Anthony Price, Jr. and Debra Loa (Cliff Loa); grandchildren, Brooke Gordon, Sabrina Gordon, Brandie Tetterton, Bruce Tetterton, Eddie Johnson, Barbara Joy Loa, Steven Somerset, Shelby Somerset, Dylan Somerset and John Henry Somerset; siblings, Tammy Gordon Adams (Josh Creamer), Timmy Gordon (Penny), Marty Gordon and Julie Gordon Zalyes (Tom Zalyes). Also surviving are numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins; as well as his stepmother, Ellie Gordon.
