Roger “Ted” Alling, Jr, age 70 of Southbury, passed away on Tuesday evening, January 4, 2011 after a long illness at the Lutheran Home of Southbury. Son of the late Roger T. Alling Sr. and Viola T. Lind Alling of West Haven, he was born in New Haven on March 21, 1940. Ted served with pride an honor in the US Army during the Vietnam Era in Germany and received an honorable discharge in 1965.
Survivors include a sister, Lynn Price of IL, a half-sister Donna Mize of FL, a half-sister Wendy Alling of FL, a daughter Carrie Stirk and her husband Gregory Stirk of Southbury, a son, Craig T. Alling of Milford, two grandsons, Michael and Gregory Jr. of Southbury and several nieces and nephews in FL and IL.
