Roger Dean Sizemore, 67, of Tallahassee, passed away on Monday, August 16, 2021, at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare. A son of Walker Harding Sizemore and Belva Pearl Bryant Sizemore, of blessed memory, he was born in Galax, Virginia on June 5, 1954. He is also preceded in death by a brother, Robert “Bobby” Neal Sizemore; sister, Edna Sizemore Dimitroff; and nephew; J.R. Trawick.
He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Louise Jeanne Hemeon Sizemore; son, Dean Sizemore; daughter, Jessica Steiner (husband, Jon); granddaughters, Gentry Sizemore and Mikayla Canaday; brother, Wayne Sizemore (wife, Joan); brother-in-law, Franklin Michael Dimitroff; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He worked for the Federal Correction Institute in Tallahassee for 21 years and served in several capacities during his tenure there. After retirement, he enjoyed going fishing with his wife, spending time with his family and was known as a Jack of all trades.
