Robert Wood Tiefel, 82, of Tallahassee, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2016. A son of the late John C. and Dorothy Wood Tiefel, he was born August 16, 1933, in Chester, Pennsylvania. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John C. Tiefel, Jr. He faithfully served his country in the United States Army, and had retired from the United States Postal Service as a Supervisor. He was a devout member at Covenant Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Ruth S. Tiefel; children, Robert Lynn (Patricia) Tiefel, Mary Beth (James Barry, Jr.) Estes, Larry Dareld (Karin) Tiefel and Steven Douglas (Lynda Marie) Tiefel; grandchildren, Jaime Nicole Estes and Devin Barry Estes. He is also survived by numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
