Robert “Hamp” Jenkins (Shalamar January) was born on September 26, 1948 in Columbia, South Carolina to the late Robert Jenkins and Arletha Outten Jenkins. On Thursday, February 25, 2016, Hamp passed way at the home of his daughter sounded by his loving family.
Hamp will be lovingly remembered by his loving daughter, Chevette Turner of Columbia, SC; one son, Marcus Jenkins of Tacoma, Washington; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two sisters, Marva (Othel) Terell of Columbia, SC and Jean Owens of Aiken, SC; and one aunt, Mable Rogers of Columbia, SC; and a host of and loving family and friends all of whom will miss him dearly.
