Roberto “Robert” Fausto Valido, 66, of Davie, passed away on Sunday, January 6, 2019. He was born in Havana, Cuba on July 27, 1952, to Josè de Jesùs Valido and Alicia de la Caridad Bares. Robert graduated from University of South Florida in 1975 with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. He started his career at Eastern Airlines in 1978 in the reservations department, and quickly developed a passion for tourism and sales management; becoming a sales director at System One, overseeing Latin American territory sales for computer reservation systems at Galileo, and ultimately served as a sales coach at Carnival Cruise Lines for 15 years. His two biggest pastimes were his family, and bass fishing; but he also enjoyed photography, collecting unique walking sticks from exotic locations, and eating. Survivors include his wife, Janine Weiss Valido; daughter, Melissa Valido Branca (Demetrius); and son, Ryan Valido (Beth).
