Mr. Robert E. Quish, age 82, beloved husband of 58 years to Patricia Jay Kirkpatrick Quish of Milford, died on Thursday, February 4, 2010 in the Greenwich Woods Nursing Home in Greenwich, CT. He died in his sleep with his family present after years of battling Alzheimer’s.
Born on June 22, 1927 in Manchester, CT, to the late Edward Patrick and Ethel Troutan Quish, he was a Navy veteran of WW II and a graduate of both Cornell University and Cornell Law School. Bob was a fixture in downtown Milford, practicing law in Milford Center for nearly 50 years. He served as an attorney referee in the Milford Court and was an assistant city attorney for the city of Milford. Bob was a member and past president of the Devon Rotary Club. He was active in the Milford Jaycees and served as legal advisor for the Milford Red Cross and the Laurel Beach Association. Bob was an avid golfer and served as president of Racebrook Country Club in Orange, CT. Patty and Bob retired to a golf and tennis community on Skidaway Island, off the coast of Savannah, GA, and enjoyed many golden years.
In addition to his wife, he leaves three children, Kathy Quish Brugger and her husband Bob of Redondo Beach, CA, and their children, Kelsey and Torrey, Jim Quish and his wife Lisa of Milford, CT, and their children, Ed, Katie, and James and Rob Quish and his wife Astrid of Chappaqua, NY, and their children, Will and Ryan.
