Richard Todd Bruce, 56, of Tallahassee Florida, died on October 7, 2020, and was preceded in death by his mother, Kay Head Bruce and father, Jerry Rogers Bruce.
Richard is survived by sisters, Doris Bruce Beck and her husband George Beck, Donna Bruce Longfellow and her husband Ronnie Longfellow and Denise Lynette Hendricks.
He is also survived by five nieces and four nephews, along with two great-nieces and two great-nephews. He was close to all his nieces and nephews, but most recently enjoyed spending a lot of time with his great-nieces and nephews. Richard was passionate about the hospitality industry and showed his passion through the culinary arts at many venues in Tallahassee as a chef. Richard also volunteered his time and talents to his church. He served meals to the homeless through Generations Church ministry, Street Hope. This was near and dear to his heart for many reasons, one being that he experienced being homeless himself several years ago. After health issues he began to repair his life through his faith in God and his love for his family. He will be greatly missed here on earth; however, his family finds hope and peace in knowing they will see him again one day in Heaven.
