Raymond Mark Wheeler, 89, a resident of Tallahassee, peacefully passed away on Saturday, July 04, 2015. He was born January 9, 1926 in West Orange, New Jersey, to the now late Alfred Wheeler and Esther Miles Wheeler.
He was married to Katherine Benedict Wheeler, who survives. He served in the US Navy during World War II and had resided here since 1980, having come from Miami, Florida.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Katherine Wheeler, of Tallahassee; daughters, Veronica Dayton, of Malabar, Florida, Stephanie DeLoach, of Palm Bay, Florida, Adrian Prokofiew, of Flemington, New Jersey; son, Jeffrey Wheeler, of Moonachie, New Jersey; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Miriam Woelke, of Madison, Alabama.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Alfred Wheeler.
