Peter L. Holm, 66 of Milford, passed away on Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at Bridgeport Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born on December 8, 1944 in Bridgeport, he is survived by his wife of 45 years, Linda ‘Gus’ Holm, the love of his life and best friend. Also, his four daughters, Krista McCormack and her husband Robert of Orange, Amy Holm and Susan Holm, both of Milford and Sara McCarvill and her husband Douglas of Colchester; four grandchildren, Kelsey and Erin McCormack and Ava and Owen McCarvill; nephew Eric Holm; three sisters, Martha Holm, Karin Johnson and Linda Asik and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Peter and Martha Holm, Peter was predeceased his

by his two sisters, Florence Hemple and Sandra Holm.

Peter was affectionately known as ‘The Commander’. He and his wife ‘Gus’ were avid sailors, enjoying many years of sailing trips with their family throughout the ports of Long Island Sound and beyond. He shared this love of boating as the Skipper of the Milford Sea Explorers for 14 years. He continued his passion by teaching the Safe Boating Course for the last 5 years.

Peter had worked for Schick since 1981 for 23 years as a Manager of the Central Tool Room before his retirement in 2004. Over the past few years he also worked for Excello Tool and Sound Environment Associates.

Peter was a great husband, father and grandfather and as he would say “Remember to Remember”.
