Mr. Navy Lee Stroud, Sr., age 89, of 205 Gatewood Drive, Garner, departed this life on Friday, January 29, 2021 at UNC Rex Healthcare, Raleigh, three and a half hours after his beloved wife, Dorothy Williams Stroud.

Survivors; daughters, Gwendolyn Gilbert of Raleigh, Mary Ann Utley of Fayetteville, Gladys Marie Stroud of Raleigh, Jeanette Hodge (Thomas) of Louisburg and Barbara Jean Stroud of the home; sons, Navy L. Stroud Jr. of the home and Dennis Hugh Stroud (Evangeline) of Benson; sister, Rosa Lee Porter of Linden, NJ; 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
