Arnie Gene Duncan, 73, of Woodville, peacefully passed into the loving arms of God on January 4, 2018. He is now with his beloved wife, Marie Cathern Cruce Duncan, who preceded him in death earlier in the day.
A son of the late Zeno and Lillie Mae Jackson Duncan, he was born on September 13, 1944, in North Carolina. He faithfully served his country in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War, and later retired from the City of Tallahassee as a Power Plant Operator. She was a daughter of the late Frank and Gertrude Rosier Cruce and was born December 23, 1945, in Lawtey, Florida.
She was a dedicated and loving homemaker, as well as a childcare provider at Immanuel Baptist Church Childcare. They were faithful members at Gospel Light Baptist Church in Tallahassee, and during their lives, were caregivers to many people.
They are survived by their children, Katrina Perrine (Steven), Nora Duncan (James Cooper) and Dora Duncan (Mike Brack); twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by all of his siblings and she is preceded in death by four siblings. She is also survived by siblings, Marvin Cruce (Rosemary), Quincy Cruce, Frank Cruce, Jr. (Beth), George Cruce (Linda), Marcus Cruce (Cindy), Eula Mae Carlton, Gennell Starling, Gertie Faye Cruce, Virginia Linzy Gertrude Griffis (Duane) and Lucinda Batten.
