Oakville- Mr. Marcel F. Lamy, 48,  died Sunday, March 14, at his home surrounded by his family after a long courageous battle with cancer. He was the husband of Robin A. (Mailhot) Lamy.

Mr. Lamy was born August 23, 1961 in Waterbury son of Estelle (Ricard) Lamy of Thomaston, formerly of Watertown and the late Ernest J. Lamy. Raised in Watertown Marcel was a graduate of St. John’s Grammar School and Watertown High School class of 1979. Marcel started his career as a meat cutter at LaBonnes Market in Watertown and retired from Stop and Shop as manager of the meat department in 2007 after 25 years of employment. He will be remembered as an avid sports fan, always rooting for the Mets, UCONN Men’s basketball and all the local Watertown teams and had coached little league in town.

In addition to his wife and mother he is survived by his three sons, Adam A. Lamy, Brett E. Lamy and Tyler D. Lamy all of Watertown; one brother, Richard P. Lamy and his wife Charlotte of Watertown; four sisters, Lucille R. Ayotte and her husband Ronald, Christine S. Stanley and her husband Bruce of Watertown, Claire L. Brickett and her husband Steve of Thomaston and Linda Lindberg and her husband Mike of Oakville; his brother-in-law Dave Creighton of VT and many aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Denise M. Creighton.
