Mr. M.V. Langley, age 78, of Pine Mountain, Georgia passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at his residence.
M.V. was born on June 26, 1944 near LaFayette, Alabama to the late Vann Henry Langley and Sara Rebecca Harmon Langley.
He was a member of County Line Baptist Church and a 1962 graduate of LaFayette High School.
He spent 42 years in the forestry industry before his retirement. He was an avid Atlanta Braves fan as well as an avid Auburn University football fan. After his retirement, he enjoyed working outside and taking care of his yard.
In his younger years, M.V. enjoyed bowling, fishing, and golf.
M.V. loved his wife, children, and especially his grandchildren – nothing in this world brought a bigger smile to his face than his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sandra Reaves Langley; children, David (Terra) Langley, Macon, GA. , Deborah (Donny) Slocumb, Columbus, GA.; siblings, Felton (Phyllis) Langley, LaFayette, Alabama, Ruth Goodman, Alpharetta, GA.; grandchildren, Amber (Jon) Moore, Kenzie Langley, Chase (Ashleigh) Slocumb, Carson Slocumb, Cayden Slocumb; great grandchildren, Raven Moore, Hope Moore, Jax Slocumb; numerous extended family members and friends.
