Lonnie was a member of Gethsemane Christian Church where he worshiped the Lord with his wife and family. He worked for over Thirty years at Carolina Aluminum, taking pride in the job he performed and the task of financially supporting his family. In earlier years Lonnie enjoyed riding his motorcycle and going to the beach. He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles football fan.
The life and legacy of Mr. Lonnie Woods will be forever cherished by his loving wife of 30 years, Mrs. LaVerne Burnette Woods of the home, one daughter, Tina LeGale Enoch of Burlington, NC; one son, Otis J. Enoch III (Karen) of Burlington, NC; two daughters-in-law, Jalanda Brown Allen of Burlington and Anna Woods of Greensboro; granddaughters, Aaliyah Tinae’ Buie of the home, Britteny Daye Hines (James) of Elon; grandsons, Tyshaun Taylor, Jaelan Brown and Jaden Woods; two great grandchildren, Jamison Lozado, Jahlil Hines; brothers, Albert Woods (Nellie) of Burlington, Larry Woods of Graham, Josephine Woods, Joseph Woods of Graham, Russell Woods (Amy) of Sedalia; sister Brenda White (Danny) of Graham; one sister-in-law, Judy Woods of Greensboro; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles, aunts and friends.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Shannon Allen and Tonny Woods; two brothers, Robert Woods “Sonny” and John Woods.
