Mr. Lemuel Combs, 84 years old, of Milford and the beloved husband of Mary Patricia Fitzpatrick Combs entered into eternal rest on Sunday, August 1, 2010 at Milford Hospital. Born in Boise, ID on March 23, 1926, he was the son of Lemuel and Minnie Maude Stapleton Combs. Prior to his retirement, Lemuel was a District Manager for American Linen and an Associate Vice President for Marriott Corporation. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and craftsman. He loved landscaping, working around the house and was an enthusiastic billiards player. Lemuel especially loved reading and enjoyed cookies and coffee in the morning.
In addition to his wife of 52 years, he is survived by three children Rich Combs and his wife Jane of Farmington, NH, Alan Combs and his wife Mariah of West Haven and Catherine Ligi and her husband Robert of Cheshire, five cherished grandchildren PFC Patrick, Margaret and Benjamin Combs, Michael and Rebecca Ligi and daughter-in-law Kathleen Combs of Wallingford. He was predeceased by his son Robert Combs and sisters Pauline Boyd, Geneva Wardle and Grace Sharpe.
