“Joe” was preceded in death by his parents, Vasco and Eva Lofton Hinnant and an aunt that raised him, Shirley Lofton Fitch.
Survivors; wife, Betty Joe Keith-Hinnant; son, Laron Harrison of Jacksonville, FL; stepsons, Marcus C. Keith and Brian V. Keith Sr. (KiKi) both of Raleigh; 6 grandchildren, Ciara, Zaquan, Brian Jr., Olivia, Bryson and Malia; his sisters & brother, Alice Lofton Montford and Yvonne Hinnant Montford (Lemuel) of Jacksonville: R. Shelby Lofton and Xavier Hinnant both of Goldsboro, Sharon Lofton Cox of Charlotte; uncles, Rudolph Loftin of Raleigh and James Lofton (Rosa) of Goldsboro; aunts Marie Meeks of Middlesex and Lucille Chapel of Smithfield; a host of other relatives and friends.
