Joseph Earl Conklin, Sr., 69, passed away Friday, April 23, 2021 at Big Bend Hospice House. Mr. Conklin was born November 27, 1951 in Tallahassee to the late Sidney Clark and Irene Hall Conklin.
Also preceding him in death is his brother, Samuel Clark Conklin. He is survived by his sons, Joseph Earl Conklin, Jr., M.D. (Brooke) and Brian Clark Conklin; grandchildren, Bradley Tadlock-Conklin, Nathan Osborne and Madilyn Osborne. Mr. Conklin worked as a data processor in the IT department of Tallahassee Memorial Hospital (TMH) for many years until his retirement and was a long time standing president of the TMH Retirees Group.
He also served on the board of the TMH Federal Credit Union. Mr. Conklin thoroughly enjoyed computers, watching sports, coaching his boys in baseball and listening to a variety of music. He was also a member of the Tallahassee Parrot Head Club and loved FSU, where he was a long time Seminole Booster.
