Mr. Gesmondi was born May 28, 1934 in Waterbury, son of the late Joseph and Anna (Berrardi) Gesmondi. He was a graduate of Oliver Wolcott Technical High School in Torrington. A tool and die maker by trade he had worked for the Connecticut Carbide Die Company for many years, including 20 years as owner and president. He had served honorably in the United States Army during the Korean War and was a communicant of St.
He is survived by his son, Michael Gesmondi and his wife Christian of Goshen; his brother, Louis Gesmondi; four sisters, Virginia Bradley, Lucy Healey, Maryann Strickulus and Genevieve Gesmondi; two grandchildren, Jonathan and Maddie and several nieces and nephews.
