Joseph Benjamin Davis, 80, of Tallahassee, Florida, passed away in the early hours on Sunday, October 11, 2020, at the Big Bend Hospice House. Born in Jacksonville, Florida on October 23, 1939, he was a son of the late Lonnie and Florida Broward Davis. He is also preceded in death by a son, Michael Davis.
Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Bruette Jordan Davis; children, David Davis, Gene McClain, Melanie McClain and Jennifer Howe (husband, Jeff); grandchildren, Michael Davis, Jr., Zachary Davis, Tanya Scaf, Jason Davis, Jordan Bransford, Paul Bransford, Chance Stone, Sarah Howe and Colin Howe; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins; and siblings, Roger Davis (wife, Diane), Stanley Davis and George Davis.
He is also survived by a daughter-in-law, Debra Davis. He was a very wonderful, kind, considerate and loving man, who enjoyed gardening, baking (cakes and specialty breads were his favorite things to make), along with jams and jellies, and was very active at Timberlane Road Church of Christ.
