Mr. Johnny Murphy Jr. passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2022.
Johnny was born January 25, 1958, to Johnny B. Murphy and late Bertha L. Murphy. He attended the schools of Hillsborough County and was proud to call Progress Village his home. He lived in California for many years and most recently in Texas, however he decided to relocate back home to assist family members.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his son, Shannon Murphy; granddaughter, Miah Murphy; father, Johnny B. Murphy; stepmother, Geneva Murphy; 2 brothers, Timothy Murphy (Sonja) and Landry Murphy (Kemeka); 2 nieces, Fredricka Murphy and LaTavia Barnes-Murphy; 2 nephews, Austin Crawford and Timothy Murphy II; 2 aunts, Marie Mosley (Earl) and Jannie B Murphy; 3 uncles, Clinton Murphy, Freddie Murphy and Joe Nix; great uncle, German Mobley; great niece, Hariyah Wallace; great nephew, Hiram Wallace; special cousins, Val Devine and Ericka Williams (affectionately called Little Sister); childhood friends, Keith Hernandez, Larry Collins, James Dubose and George Davis; and a host of cousins, friends and extended family including the BBFCTT Men’s Ministry and The Woodland Terrace Neighborhood Watch.
