John was known to everyone as “Wilbert The Tire Man”. He was a hard working man of many talents and trades. He was a car salesman and tire salesman up until his illness.
He is survived by: his companion of many years, Ms. Doris Bethea, Broadway, NC, wife, Margaret Lindsey; ex-wife, Maxine Lindsey, Winston-Salem, NC; seven daughters, Pattie (George) McLean, Raeford, NC, Rose (Richard) Weekes, Charlotte, NC, wanda (David) Eaddy, Winston-Salem, NC, Cheryl (James) Carpenter, Fayetteville, NC, Mary Ann McRae, New York, Norma Jean Lindsey, Raeford, NC, and Latasha Bethea, Broadway, NC; one son, Walter Lindsey, Winston-Salem, NC; six granddaughters, La’sea Lindsey, Shannon McKoy, Shonte; Lindsey, Jada Carpenter, Ernestine McRae, and Shanae Lindsey; seven grandsons, Eugene McClean, Freddie Alford, Dontarrious Carpenter, Jaquez Carpenter, Jamel McRae, Terrell McRae, and James McRae; one great grandson, Alex McRae; four sisters, Mary Frances Pratt, Mickleton, NJ, Louise Huntley, Morven, NC, Alberta Henderson, Camden, NJ, and Mary Jo Malachi, Wallace, SC; one brother, Albert Lindsey, Mickleton, NJ and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
