Mr. John L. Simon Jr. age 69, beloved husband of 46 years to Catherine Day Simon, passed way with his loving family by his side, on Sunday, May 9, 2010, in Orange.
Son of Mary L. Ford of Venice, FL and the late John L. Simon Sr. , he was born on October 8, 1940 in New Brunswick, NJ. John was Supervisor for SNET over 30 years before his retirement. He served with pride and honor in the US Navy on the USS Proteus and was stationed in Scotland for two years. He graduated from the University School in Bridgeport and was a member of the East End Yacht Club.
In addition to is wife, survivors include his loving daughter Kendra Montano and her husband Gary of Orange, son Scott Simon of Guilford, four grandchildren Christian Montano and Matthew, Mark and Drew Simon. A stepsister Carol Santelle and her husband Michael and dear friends Peter and Maureen Cummings of Venice, Florida. He was predeceased by his stepfather William Jordan and his wife Marion.
