John Elliott Newberry, 79, of Woodville, passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2019, while surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Alma, Georgia on September 9, 1939, to the late William A. and Etta Mae Courson Newberry. After serving in the United States Marine Corps, he worked in the construction industry and later for the Leon County School Board. He was an animal lover, loved old cars and trucks and attended Calvary Tabernacle.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Wanda Rudd Newberry; children, Myron, Lynnae, Donna, Tammy, Terri, Cathy and Jennifer; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and siblings, Roy, Billy, Terridale and Carolyn.
