Joe Leonard Vann, 88, of Greenville, passed away suddenly on Saturday, December 17, 2016. A son of the late Johnie and Leona Floyd Vann, he was born May 20, 1928, in Dublin, Georgia. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Willie Frances Epperson Vann; and siblings, Frances Gaut, Elaine Miller, Charlie Vann, Ophelia Vann Johnson, Robert Vann and Wesley Vann. He is survived by his children, Faye (Bill) Chavis and Buell (Flor) Vann; grandchildren, Duane (Donna) Chavis, Travis (Nicole) Chavis, Kimberly (Eric) Pearce, Gregory Vann and Madison Vann; great-grandchildren, Wenonah Chavis, Magen Chavis, Logan Vann, Kaliana Pearce and Larissa Pearce; and a great-great-grandchild, Isaac Pearce. A sister, Mamie (Glenn) Wambles, also survives.
