Jesse H. Herring, 78, of Tallahassee, passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2021, at home, while under the care of Big Bend Hospice Born in Valdosta, Georgia on September 22, 1942, he was a son of the late Jesse Davis Herring and the late Malvena Dampier Herring.

He was an automotive repair technician and worked at Gem Mazda for almost forty years, where he received many commendations. He was a member of Aenon Baptist Church. He enjoyed attending car shows, fishing and country music. A kind and gentle man, he never had any harsh words or spoke badly about anyone. He was a good husband, daddy and dedicated worker and family man.

Survivors include his wife, Janet Connell Herring; son, James Ray “Jimbo” Herring, Sr. (wife, Pam), grandchildren, James Ray Herring, Jr. (wife, Courtney), Brandon Herring, Stephen Craun and Ashley Craun; great-grandchildren, James Herring, III, Quinn Herring, Jeremiah Craun and Kenny Craun; and brother, Larry Gene Herring (wife, Mary); as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and an uncle.
