Jerome “Jerry” H. Hubbard, 75, of Tallahassee, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2020, at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare.
The only son of the late Fred W. and Marian Arnold Hubbard, he was born in Muskegon, Michigan on November 7, 1944. Also preceding him in death is a son-in-law, Chris Thurman.
He faithfully served in the Florida National Guard for nine years and later worked for the Leon County Sheriff’s Office. During this time, he received numerous commendations. He finally retired from Target as a Maintenance Manager. Jerry enjoyed woodworking, pottery, spending time with his family and was an active member at Immanuel Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Peacock Hubbard; children, Melissa Lehmann (husband, Keith), Michael Hubbard, Marty Hubbard (wife, Kimee), Kelley Mears, Patty Thurman, Jammie Mears (wife, Sherra), Kevin Mears (wife, Karen); numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
