Jason Monroe Blackwell, 41, of Crawfordville, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, September 08, 2021, at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare, while surrounded by those he loved.
The only son of Jerry Monroe Blackwell and BJ Miles Blackwell, he was born in Opp, Alabama on July 19, 1980. Jason was a Parts Specialist at Dale Earnhardt, Jr. Chevrolet and Buick/GMC/Cadillac, and during the course of his employment, he won five awards for Outstanding Customer Service.
He was very talented at his job and many people would go to him for advice. A Baptist, he attended St. Marks Baptist Church. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, kayaking, playing his Play station and shooting pool, where he won numerous trophies.
When he was younger, he played football, baseball and basketball (which he has awards for) as well as Band, where he played the Tuba. He was also in Cub Scouts. He truly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and Prissy, his forever canine companion. Jason was also a computer whiz, and loved his GMC Sierra HD2500 pickup truck as well as his mustang.
Known for his sense of humor, he was everybody’s friend and never met a stranger. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Alicia Rene Blackwell; daughters, Ariel Bond, Dashaun Sine (husband, Tyler) and Natalia Bond; his son, T.J. Johnson (who has expressed that Jason was his best friend); grandchildren, Kyler and Kolton Sine, Cora and Isabella Angarita.
