James Richard Carr, 72, of Crawfordville, passed away on Monday, June 3, 2019.
A son of the late Alvin Carr and Anna Pauline Lefford Carr, who survives, he was born in Moultrie, Georgia on February 2, 1947. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his first wife, JoAnn Corbett Carr; and a sister, Sandra D. Carr.
He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, moved to Tallahassee from Kentucky in 1984, and retired from the Bureau of Prisons as a Plumbing Foreman. He enjoyed sports cars, traveling and being outdoors.
In addition to his mother, he is survived include his wife, Linda Louise Scharf Carr; children, James R. Carr and Paula D. Smith; grandchildren, Daniel Hadders, Jr., James Justin Smith, Brandy Noel Smith, Jenna Grace Locatelli; great-granddaughter, Haley Ray Hadders, Maddie Locatelli and Charlotte Smith; brother, Paul R. Burns.
