James Thomas Reynolds, age 71, of Milford, passed away on Tuesday, June 15th at Connecticut Hospice in Branford after a four year courageous battle with cancer. He was born June 21, 1938 in New Haven, son of the late William Christopher Reynolds of Leitrim, Ireland and Kate Enright Reynolds of Clare, Ireland. He resided in New Haven until 1948 when his family moved to Milford, where he attended Milford Public Schools.
James is survived by his sons, Michael Reynolds of Oxford, Patrick (Cristine) Reynolds of Peoria, AZ and Daniel (Cathy) Reynolds of West Haven. He was predeceased by his older brother and his wife William and Mary Ruth Reynolds of Bridgeport. He is survived by siblings Catherine (Gordon) Stewart, Mary (Maurice) Condon, Florence (Peter) Carroll and John (Ethel) Reynolds who all reside in Milford. He is survived by his former wife Helen Reynolds of Milford and his loving and devoted companion Marie Niro of East Haven. He is survived by five grandchildren, Steven and Ryan Reynolds of Milford, Brent Reynolds of Peoria, AZ and Sarah and Fernando Reynolds of West Haven. James was a collector of antiques, enjoyed listening to Elvis and Johnny Cash, fond of vacationing in Florida, Mexico and Cape Cod, maintaining and driving fine autos and an avid roller skater.
