James “Jay” M. Maher IV, 68, of Milford, beloved husband of Kathleen Ryan Maher, passed away on Monday February 28, 2011 at St. Raphael Hospital in New Haven after a long illness. Born on October 16, 1942 in Bridgeport, CT he was the son of the late Dorothy Moran Maher and James M. Maher III. Jay was a driver for Beard Sand and Gravel for 32 years before his retirement.
Besides his wife Kathy, survivors include his two sons; James M. Maher V and his wife Laura of Shelton and Kevin R. Maher of Milford; two cherished grandchildren, James M. Maher VI and Carolyn M. Maher; a brother John E. Maher of Ivoryton, CT
