James “Jimmy” G. Porch, 66, passed away Saturday, October 17, 2015, while surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 3, 1949, in Quincy, Florida, to the late Clarence Gilbert and Hetty Jacquelyn Mirkinson Porch. He was a retired electrician with Tyco/Simplex-Grinnell and was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church in Quincy. He was an avid fisherman, loved water sports and the FSU Seminoles. Above all, he loved making people laugh. He also enjoyed watching FOX News, talking politics with Mom Mowery, dancing the funky alligator and the PC Shuffle and playing horseshoes. Surviving him are his wife, Dawn Mowery Porch; stepchildren, Darren Goodman and Kim Empie; and his sisters, Carolyn Renshaw and Dianne McDaniel.
