Defying our predictions that he would outlive us all due to his sheer orneriness, delight in telling intriguing tall-tales, and his incessant need to take full credit for the best bbq ribs in Indianapolis, James Edward Bennett went home to be with the Lord on September 5, 2021. This beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather was doing what he loved doing – preparing some slabs of those delicious don’t-even-need-no-sauce ribs and thus, proved us all wrong.
