He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Ruthilene McDougald Hope; four brothers, Herman, Frank, Charles and Randolph McDougald.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Rebecca Utley; two sons, Isaac Utley (Christine) of Pinebluff, NC and Johnny Utley of Hoffman, NC; three daughters, Cynthia Thomas (Kelvin), Pamela Collins (Barry), and Kathy Capel all of Hoffman, NC; six sisters, Mildred Goldston (Charlie) of Ohio, Bernice Cole (Rev. Reed) of Sanford, NC, Betty Belton (James) of Olivia, NC, Rosa McDougald (Walter) Mary Lester of Johnsonville, NC, and Patricia McCrael (John) of Elizabethtown, NC; seven brothers, Preston McDougald (Icee), Elbert McDougald (Lucille) and Jeremiah McDougald all of Johnsonville, NC, Eugene McDougald of Lillington, NC, William McDougald (Joyce) and Floyd McDougald all of Sanford, NC, Leroy McDougald (Eloise) of Hoffman, NC; one aunt, Essie Colvin of Fayetteville, NC; two uncles, Woodrow Walker of Fayetteville, NC and Doug McDougald of Richmond, VA; ten grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a special friend, Isaiah Goodwin; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
