Hugh Marvin Glenn, and raised in the tiny waterman village of Saxis, Virginia on January 4, 1932, Hugh “Skip” Glenn died on May 15, 2010. He is preceded in death by his father, Hugh M. Glenn, his mother, Allena Drummond Glenn, his brother, Wilson Glenn and his sister, Margaret G. Linton. He is survived by his wife Isabelle Eason Glenn, his children , Jonathan Drummond Glenn and Margaret Melissa Glenn Schaff, his granddaughter, Emily Rae Schaff, and his sister-in-law, Kathryn Weaver Glenn, as well as a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.

Skip’s principal interest was his family, followed by his close friends, his dogs, his horses and his farm in Gum Pond, Mississippi. He attended Ferrum College, served in the Air Force ( where he was chosen for the World – Wide Air Force Softball All – Star Team ), and received a B.A. degree from Lynchburg College ( where he ran cross-country ) and a J.D. degree from Tulane University ( where he was chosen for moot court ). His legal career centered on a defense trial practice at Bienvenu Foster & O’Bannon in New Orleans, where he was a partner and cherished for his insight and demeanor.
