Herbert O. Sawner, 85, passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2018, while surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 14, 1932, in Hickory Valley, Tennessee, and for 36 years, was an active member at East Hill Baptist Church. Mr. Sawner was the owner and broker for Choice Homes Sales where he retired. He was an active member of the Lion’s Club in both Georgia and Florida for many years. He also served as Guardian Ad Litem and volunteered his services as needed. He is survived by his wife, Bobbie Sue Evans Sawner; children, Victor M. Sawner and Dorothy Sawner Bunce; sister, Ruth Jane Kendall-Schram; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas McGoy and Vera Beatrice Harmon Sawner; brothers, Thomas Ralph Sawner and Herman Gene Sawner.
