Gregory M. Fitzgerald, age 59, of North Branford, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 19, 2012 at home. Born on October 4, 1952 in Springfield, MA, he was the son of Edward C. Fitzgerald of Milford and the late Gloria Bissonnette Fitzgerald. Greg was a 1974 graduate of St. Michael College in VT., and attended the University of Bridgeport. Prior to his retirement in 2010, he was a dedicated research biologist for over 35 years with Yale University. Greg had many interests which included photography, cooking and watercolor painting. He also enjoyed NASCAR and was a devoted fan of the NY Giants and Yankees.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his daughter, Melissa Fuller and her husband Hugh Bob III of Austin, TX, his son Patrick Fitzgerald of Bristow, VA, and two cherished grandchildren, Mikaela and Hugh Bob Fuller IV. Also sisters, Elizabeth M. Fitzgerald and Kathleen A. Morse and a brother-in-law, Thomas Morse and his children Christopher and Heather all of Milford.
