George Yount, 72, of Tallahassee, owner of Yount’s Concrete, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2020, at his residence.
Born in St. Louis, Missouri on December 30, 1947, he was a son of Eunice McAlpin. He worked for Williams Concrete and later founded Yount’s Concrete. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening and fishing.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 15 years, Beverly Lynn Smith Yount; children, Anthony Yount (wife, Sara) and Courtney Beauchamp, Tina Woodruff, Michael Bair, Crystal Morton and Amy Morton; grandchildren, Carolyn Yount, Brantley Yount, Leah Beauchamp, David Beauchamp, III, as well as several other grandchildren; great-grandchild, Braylin Yount; and siblings, Tillman Yount, Darrell Yount, William Hatcher, Ann Yount, Jean Harvey and Karen Yount Clark. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
