George F. Kolp, 75, of Quincy, Florida, passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2020, at his residence, while surrounded by his family.
Born in Milaca, Minnesota on January 31, 1945, he was a son of the late Harvey Kolp and the late Elvira Lindquist Kolp. He is also preceded in death by his siblings, Charles Kolp and Shirley Buchholz.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Patti Bjorklund Kolp; son, Kristofer Kolp; daughters, Kari Crowder (husband, Mike) and Kimberly Beaumier (husband, Luis); grandchildren, Michael Crowder, Mason Crowder, Lyra Kolp, Leo Kolp, Brooke Beaumier and Brynn Beaumier; siblings, Ruth Watters, Johnny Kolp, Kathie Goodsell (husband, Greg), and Barb Reichel (husband, Steve); and numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.
Serving honorably in the United States Air Force, he was very military oriented and loved airplanes. He had a collection of miniature airplanes, Hess trucks and racecars. He loved being outdoors, camping, exploring, hunting and especially fishing.
Mr. Kolp was a family man and known as being a wonderful grandfather. He will be sorely missed by his family of origin, multiple extended family members as well as his Lockheed Martin family. Also left to cherish his memory are many beloved friends, including the four amigos, running buddies, and special neighbors.
